From the 1st to the 15th of February it will be possible to contribute to the BRAVE DREAMS charity project by sending an sms or by calling 45597. The project will be managed directly by Prof. Zamboni of the Ferrara University. He has been defending his theory for years. He postulates that the CCSVI (vascular sickness defined by the malfunctioning of the blood draining veins in the brain) is linked to Multiple Sclerosis, which is tied to the central nervous system. For a series of reasons, Zamboni’s studies are being interrupted by a good part of Italian neurologists and this happens without proof of scientific studies. Other studies seem to confirm that the vascular apparatus may play a very important role in MS. My experience tells me there’s an urgency in going in depth in regards to Prof. Zamboni’s studies. http://fondazionehilarescere.org/
I have also been diagnosed with CCSVI. After an Eco Color Doppler exam, my jugular veins were ‘suffocated’ and the brain blood had difficulties making its way back to the heart. I was lucky to undergo a vein dilation operation (PTA) which has fixed quite a few problems. Unfortunately, one of the 2 veins, after a second PTA, still is not functioning as it should by sending the back the blood that tries to escape from the brain.
The benefits I have experienced after the operations have been very important (exciting actually) but unfortunately not persistent. I feel “something is there!”, there must be a connection between CCSVI and MS. It must be studied.
I do not exclude that benefits on my body, arising from intense swimming sessions, might be linked to vascular behaviors. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoeaU-iinww
This is why I ask you to sustain Prof. Zamboni’s brave dreams and those of all people suffering from Multiple Sclerosis.
I also believe it is a dream for every one of us that of performing INDEPENDENT medical research without prejudice or interest coming from any side.
Thank you.
